Brookfield Place East is a landmark skyscraper located at 225 6 Avenue SW in Calgary. Completed in 2017, it is currently the tallest building in Calgary, standing at 247 meters (810 feet) with 56 floors. Designed by the architecture firm Arney Fender Katsalidis with Calgary-based Dialog as the delivery architect, the building serves as a significant addition to Calgary's downtown skyline.

The development of Brookfield Place East began with groundbreaking on October 29, 2013, with Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi in attendance. The tower was completed in June 2017, providing over 1.4 million square feet of office space and 19,000 square feet of retail space. The building's design includes a three-story transparent glass pavilion, a winter garden, and extensive connections to Calgary's Plus 15 skywalk system, ensuring seamless pedestrian access to surrounding buildings and amenities.

The building features several sustainable design elements, such as storm-water management, carpooling, and electric vehicle charging stations, earning it LEED Gold certification and WELL Health-Safety Rating. The development's commitment to sustainability and modern urban conveniences is further highlighted by the inclusion of bicycle parking and maintenance facilities.

Brookfield Place East is strategically located between 1st and 2nd Streets and 6th and 7th Avenues SW, offering excellent accessibility to the Calgary Light Rail Transit (LRT) system and nearby amenities. The tower's elegant design, inspired by the Canadian Rockies, features bespoke ultra-transparent glass that creates an effervescent, crystalline facade. The building's crown, a curved semi-translucent structure, serves as a dramatic marker for the city by night, reflecting and refracting light.

The building is home to several major tenants, including Cenovus Energy, which occupies a significant portion of the office space. Managed by Brookfield Properties, Brookfield Place East stands as a testament to modern architectural achievements and Calgary's economic growth, symbolizing the city's status as a center for Canada's oil industry.
