The Stock Exchange Tower is an iconic 31-storey office building located at 300 5 Avenue SW in the heart of downtown Calgary. Completed in 1979, this Class 'A' tower has been a significant part of Calgary's skyline for decades. It is strategically positioned on the corner of 2nd Street and 5th Avenue SW, providing excellent connectivity and access to the Plus 15 network in three directions, which is a vital feature for Calgary’s downtown core.

The building boasts a variety of amenities aimed at enhancing the working experience for its tenants. These amenities include a full-height glazing, tenant shower facilities, 24/7 security, conference rooms, and various retail and service options within the building such as Digicopy Imaging and Booster Juice. The tower offers 112 underground parking stalls, which cater to the needs of both tenants and visitors, providing convenience in an urban setting where parking can often be a challenge.

The architectural design of the Stock Exchange Tower emphasizes functionality and modern aesthetics, with a strong focus on providing a productive and comfortable working environment. The tower's strategic location means it is just two blocks away from the Light Rail Transit (LRT) line, making it highly accessible by public transportation. This ease of access is complemented by its proximity to numerous dining, shopping, and entertainment options within the downtown area.

The development process of the Stock Exchange Tower began with the application for approval in 1974. Following approval, construction commenced in 1975 and the building was completed in 1979. By 1978, units within the building were already being marketed for sale, signaling the strong demand and anticipation for this prime office space.

The Stock Exchange Tower stands at 124 meters and comprises 31 floors, making it one of the prominent structures in Calgary’s financial district. The building is managed by GWL Realty Advisors, who ensure that the property remains in top condition and continues to meet the needs of its tenants.

Overall, the Stock Exchange Tower is a prime example of a well-planned and well-executed office building that has stood the test of time. Its combination of strategic location, comprehensive amenities, and modern design continues to make it a sought-after address for businesses in Calgary.
