I agree, the area should be revitalized with new mixed-use developments and businesses on the main floor. There is always opposition that the low-income residents have no other options, though, so it might be tough for this one.
Really hoping they approve this project, this is exactly what we need in Penticton. The El Rancho is a drug infested run down bunch of shacks. I don’t see how anyone would be opposed to this project. Right in the heart of downtown steps away from the lake, shopping, school it is honestly a perfect placement property.
