Public Discussions about Unnamed City of Kelowna Rental Project in Kelowna

I would be interested in knowing where the traffic flow is expected to go. There will be 3 apartments built along Glenmore with a tiny back alley. There will be a definite increase on the roads in the area (Highland Dr N, Ridgeway Dr, Mountainview St. Are there plans to have traffic calming in place as there are already so many vehicles that drive through the area quickly and many children play in the area and others walking and biking. The land here is beautiful with a lot of wild life and kids in the neighborhood. As a parent with young children..I can first hand say appartments are not good for families. It is hard to find real homes these days vs appartments. The appartments are best for young students or single people. I cannot see this project working on this land as the laneway is already busy and young kids often play here. If an appartment went up,it would be too busy for any kids and more traffic problems. Another issue we had at the past appartment was lack of parking as well as bike storage. I do not think this is a good idea for this area. Glenmore drive is very busy as it is, same with Bernard.
