A new article on Castanet about the lawsuit, apparently, a second one, both Mayor Tom Dyas and the city of Kelowna are sued. No updates on the first lawsuit filed in September 2023.
Key point in the case made by 350 Doyle Avenue Holdings and Centurion Appelt, is that Tom Dyas is a member of Kelowna Legacy Group (KLG). The group has different vision for the development site, and it's a conflict of interest. The city is confident that mayor and council acted in the best interest of the city and will defend it's position in court.

The development permit was revoked today, because of the students being paid 250 to talk at the public meeting in 2022, even though it didn't break any rules, the developer Greg Appelt from Appelt Properties said.
They are threatening to sue the city now, because of this decision.
