Project Vision

PMC (Harvey) Holdings Corp. submitted an Area Redevelopment Plan in March 2024, to transform the Burtch & Harvey site into a vibrant, mixed-use community that integrates residential, commercial, and recreational spaces, undergo aligning with Kelowna's 2040 Official Community Plan.

Development Concepts

The project proposes 5 to 6 towers, with heights ranging from 11 to 39 storeys, offering a mix of residential units with panoramic city and landscape views. Massive podiums, 4 to 8 storeys high across different concepts, feature a large retail presence and office spaces to activate the street level. Each concept includes central green spaces, pedestrian pathways, and plazas designed to foster community interaction and host events.

Current Stage

Three innovative concepts have been developed, each offering a unique approach to urban design, density, and community integration. Ongoing engagement with the community and stakeholders to refine the plans and ensure they meet the needs and aspirations of Kelowna residents.

The project will undergo further reviews and approvals by the City of Kelowna, with a focus on sustainability, inclusivity, and enhancing the urban fabric of Kelowna.

Should the city spend what would probably be 8 figures to buy that land and expand a already large recreation area or work with a developer to create a plan and increase density (literally the middle of the city btw) and use the increased tax revenue to improve infrastructure? Kelowna is growing, people want to live here just like you or your family members wanted to live here. There are areas of town where development isn't happening, maybe move there OR you might be at the point in your life where a smaller town would be more suitable to your peace of mind.

Horrendous idea, this development by an out of town owner of the property would add enormous amount of traffic and pollution to already congested and exhaust fumes polluted Burtch and Harvey area due to existing mammoth Landmark development.
The project should be nixed, the out of town developer bought out, and the property should be used to extend park around Parkinson’s which is already building a new bigger center close to Burtch resulting in even more traffic on already heavily congested Burtch and on Harvey.
This traffic caused ,directly or indirectly, death of two people this year as well as numerous injuries. Shame on you all. Stop fantasizing about 2024, act now. Live now not in 2040.

Do you mean live/work spaces? Bc Building code makes these notoriously difficult to build. But I agree - they would be great!

I wish there will be a possibility to buy retail commercial condos on ground level attached to a residential space on second storey.
