OC CAMPUS HOUSING is a low-rise affordable housing development under construction. This project is 4 storeys tall, located at 673 Duncan Ave, Penticton, BC V2A 8E1. OC CAMPUS HOUSING will have a total of 89 units.
The building is being constructed with mass-timber elements and is designed to meet high environmental standards, specifically Step 4 of the B.C. Energy Step Code. Its layout includes a mix of private studio apartments and multi-occupancy units to accommodate students in various programs, including those with non-traditional schedules like trades and health care. Located adjacent to the campus gymnasium, the facility will feature an "activated" ground floor with large indoor amenity spaces and shared study rooms on each floor.
This development is part of a broader provincial initiative to alleviate local rental market pressures and provide affordable housing for students from surrounding communities like Osoyoos, Oliver, and Princeton. By the time the Penticton residence opens, it will complete a regional expansion that has already added hundreds of student beds to OC campuses in Kelowna, Vernon, and Salmon Arm.
