Some finally good news,

A major developer just bought downtown Kelowna's prime waterfront property — right across from City Park.
Calgary's Arlington Street Group bought four parcels at Abbott Street and Leon Avenue, totaling almost 0.75 acres. It sits directly across from The Eli — the 42-storey tower that's currently the tallest building in BC's Interior.
The Huber family behind Prestige Hotels sold the land, though they kept the Prestige Beach House hotel next door.
The purchase price wasn't disclosed, but the assembly was listed for almost $16 million in 2023. This year's assessment came in at $11.1 million, with the existing office building accounting for just $100,000 of that total.
So what's going up on this corner? Arlington hasn't shared any plans yet, but they've already posted a sign on the building reading, "Envision what ought to be there."
They plan to run community planning workshops to help shape their proposal before submitting official plans to the city.
