Good on the developer for calling out the inconsistency with a similar unit being approved a block away. Hopefully they reconsider, and as the article states, can work out the fine details during the development permit instead of this rezoning request.

One Varsity officially disappeared from the current DP application with the city, so it's cancelled after all the challenges until better times, I guess.

Caban is on track for this year completion. I personally like this project a lot, fits into the neighbourhood very well, waiting to see that front waterfall.

Water by the Park is growing very fast. Eli is at level 23 now at glass is fitted up to level 17, more than half way up! It's easily visible from all around the valley now. Meanwhile Tower One is at 20/26.

There has been no update for a long time. So I decided to travel and take some pictures yesterday.
I was suprised to see a lot of action! Firstly, the main UBCO site is getting piling done in fully dry concrete underdround parkade. Secondly, interesting enough, they demolished the School District 23 building and crew is actively working on cleaning the site. So I will speculate, maybe they are preparing that site for the extra parking they need after shortening the underground parkade?

Wasn't a developer's or the city's fault :(
Basicaly to have windows facing the neighbouring property you need to have a "no-build" agreement, which wasn't reached with them.
